Fossils and fossil sets
Checked 2026-10-12. Sources are listed at the bottom of this page.
The Cambrian capture lists Trilobite, Hallucigenia, Wiwaxia, Opabinia, Anomalocaris, and Pikaia in separate five-fossil rows. A complete row offers Get Egg; an incomplete row offers Need more fossils.
| Period | Reported fossils per creature egg |
|---|---|
| Cambrian / Devonian / Triassic | 5 |
| Jurassic / Cretaceous / Panthalassa | 3 |
These are creature counts, not an invented skull-and-rib recipe. The source also shows Ronald's sell screen. Its Common-to-Legendary sale prices are 6, 50, 350, 1,000, and 2,200 coins in the first-island record; pickup rewards and sale proceeds are separate.
The complete cross-period creature roster and exact sites for each set remain absent. The current fossil list is partial.
Questions
Do fossils from different creatures count together?
No. The captured DNA menu tracks each named creature in its own row.
Can I sell fossils?
The player guide identifies Ronald the Fossil Buyer and shows a sell-selection menu. Check the DNA counter first if you still need that creature's set.
